On February 8, 2025, a Multiplier Event on the results of the iLearn4Health project was held in Patras, organised by the Hygiene Laboratory of the Medical School of the University of Patras. The event was titled «Health Promotion in the School Environment Using Digital Tools.»
During the event, the iLearn4Health digital educational games were presented, designed to enhance health education through interactive activities. At the same time, the online training program for teachers was highlighted as an innovative tool that supports educators in teaching health-related topics using modern digital methods.
A significant part of the event was dedicated to presentations by experts in the field of health, who analysed critical issues affecting children’s development and well-being. Topics discussed included childhood obesity and the importance of proper nutrition, an active lifestyle as a key health factor, and mental health and its impact on the learning process. Additionally, innovative tools and strategies for health promotion in the school environment were introduced, with special emphasis on accident prevention and personal hygiene, which play a crucial role in students’ daily lives.
In the second part, participants took part in interactive World Café discussions, where they had the opportunity to exchange views and discuss key areas of health education, such as nutrition, mental health, diversity, accident prevention, and the promotion of healthy habits in schools.
The event concluded with a discussion on the key takeaways from the presentations and interactive sessions. Proposals were presented for integrating health education into school curricula, along with the Health4EUKids program, which focuses on preventing childhood obesity through targeted interventions.
iLearn4Health continues to promote innovation in health education by providing teachers with the tools they need to support students in adopting healthy habits. This event was a valuable opportunity to disseminate the project’s results and strengthen collaboration among educators, researchers, and health professionals, reinforcing the goal of creating a healthy school environment through digital and interactive learning methods.
