To promote i-Learn4Health innovation
The fourth transnational meeting of the “i-Learn4Health” project took place on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2024 in Bilbao, Spain, under Key Action 2, KA220 of the Erasmus+ program, which promotes innovation.
A few words about the project:
As partners in the project, apart from the Ayia Napa Primary School – Antoni Tsokkou, the following organizations and institutions also participate:
– University of Patras (Greece) as the coordinating institution,
– p-consulting.gr (Greece),
– COMCY (Cyprus),
– FSLI (Romania),
– OIC Poland Foundation (Poland),
– Centro San Viator (Spain), and
– Errotu (Spain).
iLearn4Health is an ERASMUS+ project that aims to provide high-quality Health Education, to Primary School students, while training teachers in modern teaching methods, such as the Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) method, which can be applied to both face-to-face as well as distance learning.
The target groups of the project are: teachers and principals in primary schools, teachers responsible for health and safety in primary schools, children aged 6-12 and their parents, networks and organizations of primary school teachers, experts/professionals in the DGBL method, child education experts/professionals, training institutions, parent networks, health education promotion organizations, children’s education organizations, public and private education and health, authorities and stakeholders.
During the two-day meeting (July 2-3, 2024), the course of development of the production of the project deliverables was discussed and evaluated. The deliverables are as follows:
– Digital Educational Games to promote Public Health issues in Primary Education.
- Review the digital games that have been created
- Final feedback from partners
- Setting up the piloting process
– Online training program for teachers, to promote Health in education, through the DGBL methodology.
- Presentation of the online educational program (electronic platform)
- Final feedback from partners
- Setting up the process for the piloting
- Setting deadlines
In a subsequent meeting, which will take place after the piloting and before the end of the project, the results of the piloting process, possible adjustments that may need to be made, the organization of the multiplier events as well as the sustainability of the project will be discussed.
